That's exactly what i did when i was 5, i used to have a Famicom and it suffered the same fate as NES

Every single time! With my sega genesis, n64, gameboy, Xbox (I blew the system and it worked), and now I do it on my iPad when it won't charge. Annoying things stick with you for life I guess.
