Heck, she really can still transform into Nightmare Moon at will in the canon. That's pretty cool if she can control the dark form she was stuck in for many, many years. That's why I think Luna is more badass than Celestia (but I LOVE THEM BOTH).

As good an explanation for Luna's change between Mare in the Moon Part 2 and Nightmare Night as any. Funny too; if she knew it existed, I think that Luna would love animé and manga!
